Luteinizing Hormone (LH) is a crucial hormone produced by the pituitary gland, a small gland located at the base of the brain. In women, LH primarily triggers ovulation and stimulates the ovaries to produce progesterone. In men, LH stimulates the Leydig cells in the testes to produce testosterone.
